We truly believe a Christian education will influence the course of your child’s entire life. Our hope is that each family will experience us standing with them in partnership by providing a safe space for students to wrestle with the challenges of a complicated world, confident in the hope found only in the gospel of Jesus Christ. For over 44 years, Veritas Christian Academy has provided a quality, Christ-centered education in St Charles County, MO. It is our goal to equip students to impact the communities they are called to lead and serve – whether right here in O’Fallon or around the world – all for the glory of God. At VCA, we believe that every child can flourish at school. Our students receive all manner of meaningful learning experiences– through academics, arts, and athletics to develop character, maturity and understanding from a foundation of Christian faith. These dynamic experiences, contained in a caring environment where students are known and encouraged daily by a committed faculty, is what differentiates a VCA education.

Who We Are

We are Veritas Christian Academy — a community of students, parents, teachers, and administrators with a shared vision of creating a biblically-grounded foundation for students to stand on throughout their lives.   

We educate students in a Christ—centered atmosphere by discipling students toward academic, artistic, and athletic excellence.  We partner with mission-minded families to integrate Christian faith and academic learning for their children from preschool through grade 12.

Our History

Veritas Christian Academy was established as Living Word Christian School in 1980 by a group of families to serve the educational and spiritual needs of their children. Since then VCA has grown from 30 students, who met in the basement of a church, to over 660+ students, serving Preschool through 12th grade on two campuses.

Christian High School celebrated its first graduates in 1998 and opened its new school building in 2000. In 2005, a collegiate-grade gymnasium and another classroom wing were added. The middle school wing, serving grades 6-8, opened in 2009. 

In 2008, VCA received accreditation with both AdvancED and Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). This accreditation opened the doors for competitive athletics and fine arts as the High School was granted membership into the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA). 

Before/after school programs and summer programs were also added. VCA continued expanding its academic programs to include dual credit, honors, and AP courses, as well as a resource rooms for students with learning differences.

We partnered with Willott Road Community Church in 2015 moving our Preschool-5th grade to this new campus in St. Peters. 

In 2016, Christian High School initiated use of their new state-of-the-art event field and track. 

Living Word Christian School rebranded to Christian School District in 2019 and launched its new web presence. 

In 2022, Christian School District took further steps to come together as one, as the Elementary campus was relocated to our main campus in O’Fallon. The Early Education Campus was relocated just under 2 miles from the campus at The Summit Church in O’Fallon, MO.

Thanks to the support of our community through financial gifts, a planning team, and many hours volunteered, in November 2023, we opened our brand new outdoor space that is utilized for recess and community gatherings.

In April 2024, we took another another step in the process to unify our school community as we introduced our new name and updated brand, Veritas Christian Academy. This was a critical step in our 5-Year strategic plan for school identity.

To start the 2024-25 school year we will be utilizing our campus expansion of an additional 9 classrooms, library, and multipurpose space in our East Building located on the Main Campus. Stay up to date on our growth through our YouTube channel.
