Serving Students With Varying Abilities
Our school recognizes the value of all students of all abilities as image bearers of God. We believe God intended us to live together as an integrated body of believers, and we are committed to providing the best Christian education for every student. We strive for full inclusion of all God-given abilities. In recent years, VCA has begun the process of welcoming and educating students with a wider range of educational differences. While we are a smaller school and can not provide all services, we hope to continue growing in becoming a school that more reflects the educational diversity in the Kingdom of God.
INDIVIDUALIZED RESOURCES
Education is not a one-size-fits-all experience. For K-12 students who need additional resources to thrive, we partner with them and their families to craft an individualized plan. Students are brought a greater awareness of both their skills and struggles, so they can effectively advocate for themselves. Our goal is to create as much inclusion as possible, while also best meeting each student’s needs. These programs are fluid, meaning students can receive help in certain subjects, while using God-given gifts to thrive in others. Additional support can be provided in the classroom, small groups, or in one-on-one sessions with Student Services team members.
SUPPORT OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM
VCA partners with Fort Zumwalt School District to provide the following services for students who qualify:
- Speech and Language
- Occupational Therapy
- Academic Support
