The VCA Difference

At VCA, we partner with Christian families to equip students with a biblical education and empower them to impact the world for the glory of God.

Biblical Foundation

Veritas Christian Academy provides a learning environment founded on biblical values. Our goal is to educate with God’s Truth. From our hallways to classrooms, Christ is revealed through our school culture. VCA is also one of the largest private pre-K-12 non-denominational schools in St. Charles County and welcomes families from various churches in the community.

Engaging Community

Your child will find a caring community where they’ll feel welcomed and known. Thanks to nurturing teachers, Christ-centered values, and many fine arts, athletics, service, and leadership opportunities, students thrive in an atmosphere where they can discover and share their gifts with others.

Whole Child Education

To us, learning is more than just about nurturing the mind. As an ACSI and Cognia-accredited school that adheres to high standards of learning, we believe that empowering your child — academically, physically, socially, and spiritually — is what truly prepares them for life. At VCA, we focus on all areas of development so your child can reach their full potential.

ONLINE APPLICATION

Step 1

Visit. Scheduling a tour is the first step to fully experiencing our learning environment where your child can thrive! Go to our Visit Page to explore campus tour options, shadow visits, events, and more.

Step 2

Submit an online application and pay the application fee. The 2024-25 school year applications are now open. Here are the requirements:

  • Church reference: As a covenant school, we intend to serve those who hold the Christian faith and walk alongside families in the upbringing of their children. Part of our private school admissions process requires at least one parent to affirm our Statement of Faith and a church reference. The admissions team will send a form to your pastor or another church leader to complete on your behalf.
  • Copy of your child’s birth certificate (required upload)
  • Immunization Record (required upload)
  • Student records: The admissions team will request student records from your child’s current school.

Step 3

Gather other important documents. The following documents are required before the first day of attendance at Veritas Christian Academy:

  • Physical form completed by a physician
  • MSHSAA form for participation in high school athletics

Step 4

Schedule Entrance Assessment (K-12 in-person screening). Our team will contact you regarding scheduling your child’s Entrance Assessment, a simple skills-based evaluation, which is the next step in our admissions process. This is required for kindergarten to grade 12 students.

Step 5

Receive application approval. Once you’ve submitted the required documents and your child has passed the entrance assessment, we will reach out to you regarding your application approval. From this point, grade 1-12 families can move forward with applying for financial aid if they’re interested.

Step 6

Attend a family meeting with our principal. We’re excited to get to know you better! Our principal will have a conversation with you to help us learn more about your family and child’s background. This is a great time to ask any questions that remain.

Important
Dates

  • We accept new applications starting November 1st for the following school year.*
  • Enrollment begins on January 31st.
  • If you miss this deadline, don’t worry! We also offer open enrollments and accept applications if there is class availability.

The Admissions Experience at VCA

“You prepared us well with all the information that was shared and increased our excitement for the coming years. You’ve reminded us this time will go quickly, so make the most of it and soak up the memories. We are living God’s plan for our son — we are in the right place in the right family here at VCA! We will pass on all this and instill it in our son Evan. We have already told him many times how blessed he is to be part of the VCA community.”

-Steve P., VCA Parent

Is everyone that applies accepted?

We have a selective Admissions process, knowing we are not the right fit for every student or family.

We accept students who are at grade level understanding or above in core courses and who have a history of being a positive influence on their classroom environments. We also ask that students have demonstrated respect for authority in their previous school settings.

We accept families in which at least one parent has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Parents should be willing to partner with us in educating their child from a Christ-centered point of view, as well as maintaining a home environment and lifestyle that support Scriptural principles and our Doctrinal Statement.

Please review our Admissions Criteria for further information.
