Class of 2024 Honored During Senior Chapel
Several members of the Senior Class were recognized for their contributions to the school and our greater community.
Valedictorian & Joshua Award
Isaac States is the Valedictorian for the Class of 2024 and this year’s winner of The Joshua Award. That award is given to the student who has most consistently display positive participation and leadership in the classroom and at school functions and activities. The award recognizes exemplary Christian leadership. In a sense, the Joshua Award is the highest honor a VCA High School student can receive. Isaac is now heading to Colorado to join the United States Air Force Academy.
Salutatorian
Alexis Willbrand is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2024. Alexis is also a Bright Flight Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, and an Eagle Ambassador. She plans to continue her academic career at Missouri State University.
The Lower Rower Award
Each year, the CHS senior class chooses the winner of the Lower Rower Award, which is given to the senior who has consistently shown quiet, steady, behind-the-scenes leadership in our school and community. The 2024 Lower Rower Award winner is Elly Hartnell!
Bright Flight Scholars
The Missouri Bright Flight Scholarship is given to students who score a 31 or higher on their ACT. Seven members of the Class of 2024 qualified. The winners are Susan Kim, Elly Hartnell, Alexis Willbrand, Luke Thoenen, Isaac States, Cohen Ring, and Mason Curtiss. We are so proud of all of you!
