Summer camps

At VCA, summer kicks off a season of fun for our students!

This year we are pleased to offer JUMP and Sports Camps for all families in the community! These programs encourage students to explore new opportunities in sports, try different hobbies, and make great connections with other students, all while having a BLAST!

Our summer camps are designed to give you flexibility to mix and match camp options that will work best for your schedule. Be sure to check out all the details for both below. We can’t wait for your child to join us! Note: All grade levels are based on rising grades for the 2024-25 school year.

JUMP is offered to incoming K-6 students. It begins Tuesday, May 28th and runs through Friday, August 2nd. JUMP is not offered the week of July 1st-5th.

Camp runs from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm each day. Please click here for the daily schedule. JUMP daily rate is $40 or weekly for $175. After-care is offered for an additional cost of $10 per child per day from 3:30 – 5:30 pm.  Field trip days will have a maximum number of students permitted, so we encourage registering early for these dates.

All participants must have a completed pre-registration form. A non-refundable $30 fee, per family, is required at the time of submission. Click here to complete pre-registration for your family. Once the form is complete, you will have access to Daily/Weekly JUMP registration. Daily/Weekly registration must be completed two weeks prior to attendance. To see the full calendar of trips and activities please click here. Please contact Mrs. Colebank at rcolebank@vcamo.com with any questions or call 636-978-1680 x1200.

JUMP will have a daily chapel and summer bible study. The first half of the summer, children will learn to taste and see the goodness of our God. Together they will explore God’s goodness and have fun while they make and explore snacks. In the second half of the summer, children will take a summer road trip! They will hit the road as we lead them on a journey to memorize the 66 books of the Bible. Children will learn all the books of the Bible and how each section fits into the larger picture of God’s story. Children will have fun as they do hands-on activities as they take many twists and turns on this summer road trip.

A foam party is an unforgettable event characterized by mountains of frothy foam engulfing the party area! Our school yard will be transformed into an awe-inspiring sea of cool, clean, and invigorating foam for kids to frolic in. Foam at these parties can tower up to 6 feet high and blanket an area of up to 50 feet in all directions, creating what we call “The Foam Zone”.

We will visit Hope Food Pantry and learn how they serve the needs of others.

Big Joel’s Safari is a walk thru park that currently sits on 20 acres, half petting zoo and half zoo that gets you close to the animals. The zoo has over 60 species of animals! We will each get a chance to feed the animals!

Our special guest will teach us a variety of decorating techniques. Kids will get to decorate their own cupcakes- one to enjoy and some to take home! This special event will be held at school.

Children of all abilities will interact with the exhibits at the all-inclusive indoor playground. Exhibits include: world’s largest fiberglass teeth, the Interactive Dude, Dental and Medical Office, Farmer’s Market, Pharmacy, and Grossology. In addition to playtime at the exhibits, we will watch an interactive show. We double-dare you to sit still during this wild and rollicking look at the amazing human body! Students take a fast look at different body systems with facts that are backed up with fun and unforgettable physical challenge “interactivities”. Students will have an opportunity to “come on down” and spin the wheel.

Kids will create a painted canvas project through a guided class.

Are you ready for an exciting animal experience? We will watch an Amazing Animal Show! Watch birds of prey fly right over your head, macaws speak the English language, and much more! We will also take a guided tour through a hardwood forest, and visit aviaries housing birds from all over the world.

We will enjoy an action-packed performance by the Purina Incredible Dog Team at the Incredible Dog Arena. Featuring some of the most talented canines in the country, the Team consists of more than 20 remarkably gifted dogs and 3 trainers who entertain audiences with extraordinary feats of athleticism and skill. Spectators can watch many different breeds leap into the air to catch a flying disc, run down a ramp and dive into a 50-foot heated pool, or maneuver through a series of jumps and obstacles in an agility course. We will also get to interact with a variety of the domestic animals found on a typical working farm. It houses sheep, horses, cows, hogs, rabbits and chickens, among other farm animals. A petting ring in the Barn’s nursery area allows children to interact with chicks, piglets and baby rabbits. The barn also has several interactive areas, with tunnels to crawl through, a rope to swing on, and toys to play with, while demonstrations throughout the day give visitors the chance to try milking a cow. (This will have 2 options for lunch that parents will have to choose when registering).

We will visit a 7,000 sq ft makerspace that features a makers workshop, artist studio, design lab and entrepreneurs marketplace where kids can use their imaginations to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover! MADE for Kids is designed for kids ages 4-14 to explore Screen-Printing, Laser Cutting, Stop Motion Animation, 3D Printing, Pottery and more!

We will stay onsite for a special comedy magic show.  There will be lots of laughing and fun. After completion of the show, kids will participate in a magic workshop and learn how to perform their own tricks.
